TNM, PDK leaders meet Vaiko
CHENNAI, Feb 12 (UNI) Tamil National Movement (TNM) leader P Nedumaran and Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (PDK) president 'Kolathur' Mani today called on Marumalarchi DMK (MDMK) general secretary Vaiko and expressed their happiness over his release on bail.
The two leaders, accompanied by Suba Veerapandian, general secretary of TNM and Viduthalai Rajendran, general secretary of PDK and Pulavar Pachaiyappan presented books to Vaiko, a party release here said.
Nedumaran, also a POTA detenu, released on bail a month before Vaiko was released, shared their prison experiences.
Meanwhile, Vaiko would address party's district secretaries meeting here on February 13.
This would be the first party meeting to be chaired by Vaiko after his release on February 7.
Vaiko, who was arrested under POTA for his pro-LTTE speech, had been incarcerated in Vellore central prison for 19 months.
