Veteran CPI (M) leader passes away
HYDERABAD, Nov 30 (UNI): Veteran Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Nanduri Prasada Rao died of kidney failure and heart problem at a city corporate hospital here last night.
He was a member of the rajya sabha and the AP state legislative council for one term each.
The veteran leader, who was drawn to freedom struggle at a very young age, joined the Communist Party in 1934 and worked on building peasantry and working class movements.
The late leader had also served as the general secretary of the All India Kisan Sabha for eight years, general secretary of Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Labour Union and vice-president of International Agriculture Labour Union for five years.
