Who will protect rights of minorities in J&K

By Staff Reporter • 2001-11-03 • 1 min read

There are many in India, Pakistan and some in the West who are never tired of pleading for protection of human rights of Kashmiris, but one section which is rarely mentioned or talked about are the Kashmiri pandits, a small minority who were forced to leave the Valley with the start of insurgency in the nineties.

These victims of fate have been neglected both by the Centre as well as State Government and have been languishing in camps (temporary shelters) set up for them outside Jammu or in the national Capital or in rented rooms for the last two decades evoke little sympathy from any quarter.
