Woman's body fished out

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, May 2: Police claimed to have fished out a woman from Chenab river in Dhaingarh area of Reasi district today.

Police reports said that the locals noticed the body floating in the river and they informed police.

Cops rushed to the spot and fished it out.

The deceased has been identified as Taro Devi, 25, wife of Bitto resident of Kothdu Reasi.

The body after autopsy was handed over to the family members for last rites.

Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPc.

Police said that she was missing from her residence since last few days.
