Workshop on RMSA for headmasters held

KT NEWS SERVICE RAJOURI, Sep 16: To acquaint the heads of secondary schools about the implementation of Rashtriya Madyam Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), a training workshop was held here yesterday.

Besides principals, the headmasters of all the high schools of the district participated in the workshop chaired by the Chief Education Officer K.

Participants were acquainted about filling up data formats and were directed to complete the same by September 18, 2008 for onward submission to Project Director, SSA.

It was stated that RMSA envisages covering high schools of educationally backward areas on the pattern of SSA under which funds would be provided to secondary schools for construction of buildings and purchase of equipments.

Special focus would be given to Rajouri district under the scheme as large chunk of its population falls under educationally backward areas.
