3 rescued from Tawi floods

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, July 9: Fire Services personnel today rescued three persons trapped including a woman in the Tawi after they were caught in a sudden surge of water.

According to officials information was received about three people trapped in the flash flood at 7.50 AM.

Emergency personnel immediately rushed to the rescue and Fireman Hari Kishen dived into the water to and managed to free all three.

While two of them were rescued the third managed to swim to safety.

One of the men was identified as Vinod Mastana while of the name of the woman who was in a state of shock and could not speak had not been ascertained.

The rescue was carried out under the supervision of Duty officer Tej Krishan Zutshi.
