SARAJEVO, Oct 16 (DPA) Eight Pakistanis were detained in the northern Bosnian-Serb controlled town of Doboj, local police announced.
The Pakistanis detained on friday did not have valid identification documents, according to police yesterday.
Police also confirmed that all of the detainees asked for asylum in Bosnia immediately after being arrested.
According to police, the eight Pakistanis were handed over to representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Doboj police did not reveal more details regarding the case.
