Afghan exile leader Abdul Aaq held in Jalalabad

PESHAWAR (PAKISTAN), Oct 26 (Reuters) Exiled Afghan opposition leader Abdul Haq, captured inside Afghanistan by the ruling Taliban today, was being held in the eastern city of Jalalabad, his brother, Mohammad Haq, told a news conference.

"Our appeal to the Afghans and peace-loving people is that they should put pressure on the Taliban not to harm this man who was making peace efforts," Mohammad Haq said.

He was captured along with his son, who was not identified, Mohammad Haq said.
