NEW DELHI, Dec 7 (UNI) Mr Younis Qanooni, interior minister of the interim government of Afghanistan, arrived here today on a three-day official visit for talks with Union Home Minister LK Advani and External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh on the future set-up in the war ravaged country as well as the present security situation there.
Mr Qanooni, who played a prominent role in finalisation of the Bonn accord among various Afghan factions for establishing an interim government, was received by Sardar Ahmedi of the Afghan embassy, and senior officials of the ministries of external and home affairs.
He came here directly from Germany.
Mr Qanooni is also interior minister of the national government, headed by Prof Burhanuddin Rabbani.
He had actively camapigned against the Taliban.
