NEW DELHI, Aug 6 (UNI): Communications and IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran today launched a website of business magnate and Rajya Sabha member Anil Ambani.
The website according to Ambani is aimed at forming a platform for anyone who want to have an interface with him on important political and government issues.
"For too long, our polity has been divided between those who know and those who don't know.
This website is a means towards bringing our legislative institutions closer to the people to help build a better informed India," Ambani said.
Stating it as a technological initiative, Maran said it will encourage new standards of transparency in public life.
"I hope more Parliamentarians will follow suit and become interactive citizens in the digital age that we live in," the Minister said after the launch.
On telecom venture Ambani said that Reliance would announce its broadband operations after government unveils the policy next week.
The website http://www.anildambaniforindia.com _ will be in Hindi, English and Urdu languages.
A 24-hour call centre would also work for an interactive message service.
