ITANAGAR, Oct 16 (UNI): Veteran leader Gegong Apang was today sworn-in as the tenth Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh at a function in the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhawan here.
State Governor V C Pandey administered the oath and secrecy of office to Apang.
He was the only one to be sworn-in today.
This is the seventh time that Apang has been sworn-in as the state's Chief Minister.
All high-level officials of the state government, elected MLAs, barring the nine BJP MLAs, and party workers attended the swearing-in ceremony.
Apang is leaving for New Delhi tomorrow along with Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee chief Mukut Mithi to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and finalise the list of ministers.
