VIJAWADA, Aug 6 (UNI) In what can be a huge boost for the game in the country, the first-ever Rs 10.65 lakh prize money Asian Beach Kabaddi Championships for Men and Women will be held at Mumbai from November eleven to 14.
Releasing the calender of events here last evening at a press conference, Indian Beach Kabaddi Association General Secretary K P Rao said the Rs 4.10 lakh prize money Senior Nationals for Men and Women would be held at Haridwar from September six to ten.
Vijayawada would host the Rs 1.95 lakh prize money Junior Nationals for Men and Women from September 26 to 30, while the Rs 3.20 lakh prize money Open Nationals would be held at Goa from October 20 to 25.
The Youth Nationals would be played at Thiruvananthapuram from January 19 to 23, he said, adding Gadamukteswar, near Ghaziabad, would host the Sub-Junior Nationals from December 16 to 19.
Sand courts would be laid wherever beaches were not available, he explained.
