Australia tour was profitable for me: Sehwag

KOLKATA, Feb 12 (Agencies) : Star opener Virender Sehwag, though disappointed over sour end of the India's tour of Australia, said the tour remained "profitable" for him as he gained valuable experience during the long series.

"It was a big tour and extremely profitable for me as I gained valuable experience on the Australian soil," Sehwag, who joined the Delhi team to play the last match of the Ranji Trophy one day cricket tournament here, said today.

The dashing willower said he was happy with his own performance and that of the team in the four-Test series, but was very disappointed with the losses in the two finals.

"The losses in the finals were really bad.

Otherwise, I think we had put up a good show," he said.

Sehwag, however, refused to comment on the proposed Pakistan tour of India next month, but said "whatever the government and the BCCI decides, we will go by that".
