KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, May 14: The state Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) president Ashok Khajuria today visited the residence of Ashok Sodhi, a senior photojournalist who scarified his life while performing his professional duties and handed over a cheque of Rs 25, 000 to his wife as a token of help to the bereaved family.
Khajuria, while expressing his heart felt sympathies with the family members of Ashok Sodhi, said that the sad and untimely demise of Ashok Sodhi has created a void which can not be filled.
He added that BJP is with the media fraternity and this token help to the bereaved family is ample proof of the same.
The party leaders prayed to Almighty to give strength to the members of bereaved family to bear the loss caused by the sad demise of Ashok Sodhi.ΓΏ Among those who accompanied Khajuria included BJP state vice president & spokesman Professor Hari Om, JMC Mayor Kavinder Gupta, party MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma, treasurer Sat Sharma and press secretary Balbir Ram and expressed their grief and sorrow with the bereaved family.
Later, Khajuria accompanied by state vice president Chander Prakash Ganga, JMC Mayor Kavinder Gupta and party MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma, visited the residences of Dwarka Nath Sharma, whose wife also got killed in the Samba militant attack.
The party leaders also visited residence of Hoshiar Singh in Samba to condole the sad demises.
