Challan against three in cheating case

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Apr 23: Crime Branch Jammu has produced challan against three accused involved in the cheating with their partner of his share in Transport Company, in the court of Electricity Judge Jammu.

Official reports said that Crime Branch Jammu has produced challan against Sardool Singh, son of Harpal Singh and Harpal Singh, son of Hoshnak Singh both residents of 408 Digiana and Gurdev Singh, son of Pritam Singh of 251-F Sector number 11 Nanak Nagar in case FIR number 2 of 2005 registered under section 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B RPC in Police Station Crime Branch Jammu, in the court of Electricity Jammu.

Official reports said that a written complainant duly endorsed by Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Jammu was received in Crime Branch Jammu in which complainant Jagjit Singh, son of Joginder Singh of Marh Bagh Jammu leveled allegation against the accused who were running a company under the name and style of Ex-Serviceman Transport, 408 Digiana Jammu duped him of Rs 2 lakhs.

He added that accused Sardool in connivance with Harpal Singh and Gurdev Singh took Rs 2 lakhs in cash from him and promised to induct him as partner in the said Transport Company.

The accused managed to extract Rs 2 lakhs and executed a fake affidavit by forging the signature of the father of Sardool Singh.

They fraudulently grabbed Rs 2 lakhs of the complainant.

The complainant informed that the complainant made several requests to refund his hard earned money but the accused refused.

On this, reports said that the instant case was registered and during the course of investigation the statements of prosecution witnesses were recorded under section 161 CrPc and all the relevant records was seized.

The specimen signatures of the accused were obtained and got compared through FSL expert.

As per the in-depth investigation conducted so far, reports averred that it was revealed that Harpal Singh Honorary Army Captain after his retirement executed partnership deed with Harpal Singh, son of Hashnak Singh and his two sons Sardool Singh and Harminder Singh also agreed to join as partner to carry on their business.

Gurdev Singh approached Jagjit Singh also to invest money in the business.

So on his behest Jagjit Singh contributed Rs 2 lakhs in the business which was received by Sardool Singh and an affidavit duly attested by notary was prepared in which Gurdev Singh, Sardool Singh accepted the amount and made Jagjit Singh as share holder of their business.

Sardool Singh on behalf of his father Harpal Singh appended the signature.

The same as authenticated by FSL expert are forged.

The accused refused to refund the amount to the complainant and cheated him by way of fraudulent means.

Official reports claimed that the Prima facie offences under section 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B RPC have been established against the accused and the case has been charge sheeted in the court of Electricity Jammu for Judicial determination.
