KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Mar 2: State BJP vice president and spokesperson, Professor Hari Om today accused the Congress of misusing its official position and using the state police to "terrorise and intimidate the newly elected BJP and independent Councillors and members of various Municipal Committees." In a press statement, Hari Om alleged, "The police, at the behest of Congress, has let loose a rein of terror in Akhnoor, R.S.
Pura, Bari Brahmana, Hiranagar and Nagri Parole, in order to frighten the elected representatives of BJP so that Congress can be in a position to capture the local bodies of these areas." The BJP leader appealed to the Governor to immediately intervene in the matter so that the elected members of the Jammu Municipal Corporation, Councils and Committees are able to elect the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and presidents and vice presidents of respective local bodies.
