KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Sep 16: State government has revoked detention of two people involved in Amarnath land agitation under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
Official reports said that state government revoked the detention orders of Swami Dinesh Bharti and Daleep Kumar, a youth hailing from Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district under the Public Safety Act (PSA) for their participation in the Amarnath land agitation.
Cancelling of the PSA detentions was one of the major demands of the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS), which was conceded to by the government during the agreement over the Amarnath land row.
After the warrants were issued against him under the PSA, Dinesh Bharti remained absconding, while Daleep Kumar, a resident of Mertha, Budhi in Kathua district was arrested by the Hiranagar police and was presently lodged in Kot Bhalwal jail, sources said, asserting, "Daleep is likely to be released from the jail after the order for revocation of the PSA warrant is received".
