KT NEWS SERVICE UDHAMPUR, June 7: District Udhampur Development Forum led by its president Rajinder Kumar has submitted a memorandum to the chief minister through district development commissioner, Udhampur.
The forum is demanding to put an end to illegal stoppage of Amarnath Yatris by police in Samba and Kathua districts.
The forum said that police officials are forcing the yatris to divert their routes towards Jammu.
It demands that Yatris should be allowed to take the route of their choice.
Forum has appealed to the chief minister to intervene personally in the matter to ensure free movement of Yatris on Dhar road.
They have threatened to launch an agitatation if their demands are overlooked.
Swantater Dev Kotwal, Shashi Kumar and Daljit Singh among others singed the memorandum.
