KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Feb 18: Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed's private residence at Nawgam suffered damage as fire broke out in the afternoon.
It was after around 30 minutes that an SSG jawan broke in and controlled the leaping flames.
Reports said that the fire broke out as a result of short circuit in a Tv.
The smoke was coming out and there was nobody inside.
As the flames started spreading here and there, an SSG cop broke open a window pane and extinguished the fire.
The fire was reported at around 0110 hours and it was controlled after around 30 minutes.
