KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 21: Police claimed to have arrested five pick-pockets from Railway Station here last evening.
They were identified as Sachin Kumar of Batala, Krishan Chand, Subash Naik and Rafu all residents of Orissa and Salim of Pathankot.
Police said that one of the pick- pockets identified as Krishan Chand of Orissa was caught by a Brij Mohan of Bakshi Nagar who went to see off his relatives at Railway Station last evening.
As soon as Brij Mohan went inside Shalimar Express train along with his son to see off his relatives, the pick pocket robbed them of their purse.
Brij Mohan caught the pick-pocket and later handed him over to the cops at the Railway Station.
The accused robbed purse of Brij Mohan and Rs 350 from the pocket of his son.
During questioning, he disclosed the whereabouts of his four associates who were present in the market outside the Railway Station and they were also arrested by the police team headed by SHO Inspector YP Jamwal.
A case has been registered against them in Police Station Railway Station Jammu.
Man found dead KT NEWS SERVICE KATHUA, Jan 21: Mystery shrouds the death of a youth who was found dead near his house at village Pathrali in Bhoond area of Basohli Tehsil in Kathua district today.
The deceased has been identity as Sonu, 22, son of Kuldeep Raj of Pathrali.
Police said that villagers noticed the victim lying in the fields near his house and they informed Police Station Basohli.
Cops shifted the body to the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Basohli mortuary for autopsy.
Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPc.
