NEW DELHI, Oct 8 (UNI): Despite the growing concerns about the project work for the venues, Commonwealth Games Federation secretary general Louise Martin is delighted with the prospect of a Games Village that will inspire the athletes during the Commonwealth Games here next year.
"Absolutely fantastic.
The athletes will enjoy," Martin wrote in the Guest Book at the Games Village after undertaking a tour with fellow delegates prior to the Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly, to be held here on October 12.
Delegate from England Craig Hunter, too seemed impressed with the Village, where the delegates were taken to Tower 9 and shown a set of furnished apartments.
"This is a wonderful Games Village and we look forward to stay (here) in 2010," he wrote after spending a lot of time in the apartments.
The delegates visited a number of stadia today and then they were split into two groups and taken on separate tours where the venue owners apprised them of the progress made, the pace at which construction is being made and the prospective dates of completion.
