Gharu Ram described the Guru as an apostle of peace, righteousness and truth who fought injustice and exploitation relentlessly with fortitude and strove for bringing about harmony in the society.
Gharu Ram said that the teachings of the 10th Guru are relevant in every age and society as they lay emphasis on the evolution of strong, noble and selfless individuals and an enlightened social order.
He said that Guru Gobind Sing pursued his mission of unity, equality, compassion, love and of virtuous deeds single-mindedly and hoped that the people will rededicate themselves to the values professed by the great Guru.
Gharu prayed for peace and tranquility and expressed the hope that the will be celebrated in true spirit of the states composite culture.
