Hurriyat warns people against mainstream politicians

KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Mar 16: Hurriyat Conference (A) today said that Kashmiris should not get carried away by the changing statements of some mainstream politicians and added that they should rather continue their efforts for securing the right of self-determination.

A spokesman of Hurriyat said that this was stated by a team of Hurriyat leaders who had gone to Saporah-Pulwama were two militants were killed on Wednesday.

He said that the team paid rich tributes to them.

They said that the freedom movement is alive today due these brave people who offer sacrifices, said the spokesman and quoted them as saying, "The freedom struggle has got the international attention and the peace process is on only due to the brave efforts and sacrifices of these youth".

The spokesman said that the Hurriyat team cautioned the Kashmiris against the tactics of some mainstream leaders who according to them "have changed their stand momentarily just to mislead people".

They have said that Kashmiris should not get carried away by such statements in which these people are singing new tones.

They have stressed that the countless sacrifices laid by the youth demand that they are respected and the freedom struggle is taken to the logical conclusion.

"If we act carelessly, the nation would not forgive us for all the times to come", they said.
