KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Jan 4: Muslim Khawateen Markaz (MKM) today stresesed that the solution of Kashmir issue is possible only by implementing the UN resolution which was passed on January 5, 1949.
In a statement chairperson of MKM Yasmeen Raja said, "The durable, fair and firm solution of the disputed Kashmir is possible only through the UN resolution which was passed on January 5, 1949".
She said that the solution of this issue is necessary for establishing peace in South Asia.
Yasmeen appealed the UN secretary general Kofi Anan to honour the constitutional and moral responsibilties of the UN office and impress upon India and Pakistan to hold a meaningful dialogue for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
She appealed Anan to disuade India from pursuing repressive policies and the path of traditional hatred and adamant attitude.
Reiterating her outfit's stand she said MKM has adopted the UN resolution as the basis for finding any solution of Kashmir issue in its political and diplomatic struggle.
But she regretted that UN has failed to address this issue despite its verbal and written promises.
She alleged that more than eight lakh troops have wreacked havoc with the public peace and New Delhi has been allowing these troops full liberty.
"India has implemented the draconian laws to continue their occupation of the state and is persisting with its rigidity while as Pakistan which is the premier party to this dispute, has always advocated peaceful and sincere efforts for the resolution of Kashmir issue".
