KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 9: Irked over a sacrilegious act people belonging to a particular community blocked Jammu-Poonch national highway at Agrati Soni Village in Rajouri district last evening for at least two hours.
As per reports, some mischievous elements had indulged in the act and the news spread like a wild fire compelling a certain community to block the Jammu-Poonch national highway for at least two hours.
Reports said that shouting slogans against the sacrilegious act, people blocked the highway for at least a couple of hours totally disrupting the movement of vehicles on the road.
However, soon after getting the report Dy SP Headquarters Kaushal Kumar Sharma rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the agitated protestors.
Though he convinced the villagers to track down the culprits but Bajrang Dal district president Ranjit Tara gave an ultimatum to the official that if guilty were not nabbed by 10 am tomorrow, his workers and people will again resort to agitations.
