J&K Police brings laurels to state, wins 3 golds

KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, June 3: Zahoor Ahmad and Aadil Mohi-ud-Din of Jammu and Kashmir Police brought laurels to the state by bagging individual Golds in VIII All India Police Water Sports Championship here today.

Zahoor Ahmad of J&K Police struck Gold in 500 meters individual Kayaking while as Rohit Kumar of BSF and Ashok Malik of CRPF got the second and third position respectively.

Aadil Mohi-ud-Din of J&K police bagged Gold in 500 meters individual Canoeing besides G.

Suresh of Andra Policeÿ and Arun Kumar of BSF finished second and third respectively.

In another competition in Kayaking-2ÿ 500 meters Rohit Kumar and Kuldeep Rawal of BSF got the Gold, Zahoor Ahmad and Pervaiz Ahmad of J&K Police finished second while as P.

Krishna Roa and M.

Rajesh of Andra Police came third.

In Canoeing-2 500 meters Manipur Police's L.

Kubir Singh and O.

Shankar Singh bagged the Gold while as Manoj Rawal and Karan Singh of CRPF secured second position while as Arun Kumar and Deopam Shome of BSF had to be content with a bronze.

J&K Police bagged another Gold in 500 meters Kayaking-4 in which Zahoor Ahmad, Parvaiz Ahmad, Aasim Hussain and Feroz Ahmad secured first position while BSF and MP finished second and third respectively.

In 500 meters Canoeing-4 Krishan Kumar Singh, Ashok Kumar Singh, Pritam Singh and Ophesh Singh of Manipur Police bagged Gold while as J&K Police and BSF secured second and third positions respectively.
