JD(U) criticises cabinet expansion

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Feb 18: Sanjesh Gupta, president, Pradesh Janta Dal (United) today criticised the recent cabinet expansion of the coalition government and said that inducting unprecedented number of minister meant, ignoring the constitutional amendment of the parliament and letting loose public exchequre thus ignoring the future of thousands of adhoc and other youths of the state.

In a press statement, Gupta accused the government of indulging into corrupt practices by thrusting upon 39 member ministry in addition to several chairpersons of various corporations.

He opined that the 'fatal' move would not only increase corruption but also lead to unemployment and frustration amongst the youth.

Commenting on the rehabilitation policy, Gupta said that on one hand the government was awarding Rs 2000 to the militants surrendering arms and on the other hand they were leaving the citizens of the state on the roads by 'snatching' their job security.
