RANCHI, Oct 8 (UNI): Team India Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been slapped a fine of Rs 100 by the district transport authorities for delay in registration of his much-hyped SUV, Hummer.
Transport department sources today said the cricketer delayed in submitting adequate papers against registration of his vehicle.
"The papers were submitted with a delay of seven days.
Therefore the cricketer will have to pay Rs 100 as fine," sources claimed.
"The family members of Dhoni had applied about a month ago for registration of the SUV but documents attached with the application were not adequate," sources said.
Dhoni along with R P Singh drove from New Delhi to Ranchi in his Hummer to his home town.
In India film star Sunil Shetty and pop singer Mica also own Hummers which costs around Rs 7 million.
At present Dhoni has a Mitsubishi Pajero, two Scorpios and one Toyota Corolla, gifted by the Jharkhand government.
Besides vehicles, Dhoni owns a Harley Davidson bike, a Yamaha 650 sports bike and a Kawasaki Ninja.
The silver grey Hummer is 17 feet long and seven feet wide.
It has a 6,200 cc engine.
Meanwhile team India captain was yet to submit a fitness certificate of one of his motorbikes brought earlier.
The cricketer need to fill up form-22 for registration of the motorbike, a transport department official said.
