JOA to hand over NG flag to Guv

RANCHI, Oct 8 (UNI): Jharkhand Olympic Association will hand over its flag to Governor K Sankarnarayanan for the 34th National Games on October 12.

Addressing the mediapersons here, National Games Organising Committee secretarty S M Hashmi said THE flag which was handed over to former Chief Minister Madhu Koda and Jharkhand Olympic Association President R K Anand after 33th National Games would be given to the governor.

Hashmi said Sankarnarayanan would later hand over the flag to the secretary of NGOC.

Referring to the preparation of National Games (NG), he said Pandey Ganpat Rai memorial gymnastic stadium, constructed by spending Rs 35 crore, would be handed over to the NGOC tomorrow.

He said senior police officer V S Deshmukh had been made the chairman of volunteer sub-committee and a meeting of the committee had been scheduled on October Ten.

"The principals of several schools and colleges have been invited to participate in the meeting," he said.

Besides, N N Sinha, Ranjan Kumar, Shekhar Bose, B C Thakur, Anil Kumar Jaiswal, Prabhat Sharm and Vishal Sharma were included in the executive board of NGOC.

The NG, beginning on November 21, would conlude on December Five.
