Jugal announces Rs.3 lakh for culvert at Maghal

KT NEWS SERVICE KATRA, Feb 4 : To assess the problems being faced by the people of Maghal and its surrounding villages, Minister for Rural Development Mr Jugal Kishore Sharma convened a meeting at village Maghal near Katra.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister announced Rs.3 lakh for the construction of culvert at upper Maghal by the Rural Development Department.

He further said that under centrally sponsored scheme, Technology Mission Water Harvesting Tank constructed at Pamote Maghal in Panchayat Sool with assistance of Rs.

one lakh by Agriculture Department.

This will supply 300 cubic metric water to the needy farmers of the area.

He threw light on the Roshni Act and benefits from the act for the people of urban as well as viral areas.

He also said that number of development activities are being carried out in the area and water supply scheme will be started for Maghal soon and other genuine demands would be taken with the concerned agencies to provide facilities to the people of the area.

Minister also announced Rs.1.60 lakh under SSA for Government High School Sira, Government Middle School Maghal (Pamote), Government Primary School Kandyar, Government Primary School Tareen and Rs.4.40 lakh for Government Primary School Sool.

Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner Udhampur Khurshid Ahmed Bhat, Additional SP Katra Mr Ashok Sharma, Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur, Assistant Commissioner Development Udhampur, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Katra, SHO Katra and officers of different departments were present on the occasion.
