Kotwal reviews law and order situation in Doda

KT NEWS SERVICE DODA, May 16 : Dr Pawan Kotwal immediately after assuming as District Development Commissioner Doda convened a meeting of revenue officers here today.

The meeting was held to review the functioning of revenue department and also to interact about the general law and order situation.

Progress registered in respect of preparation of Jamabandies, disposal of general complaints, court cases, issuance of PRCs and other certificates at tehsil level, proper market checking to check the black marketing and hoarding, proper inspection of revenue records, progress of land acquisition cases in respect of four laning and widening of roads and army land acquisition cases in respect of Kishtwar and Dharmound areas were discussed in threadbare.

Addressing the officers, the DDC underlined the need for putting in dedicated efforts to resolve the problems of masses.

He said any genuine work of any applicant should be done immediately at the tehsil level and in case he work is not genuine the applicant should out rightly be refused so that any undue hope is not kept alive.

He said that disposal of land acquisition cases for development programmes should be geared up.

While for central department such cases be disposed of only after obtaining land compensation.
