With a view to curb the menace of traffic violations, the Flying Squads of Kashmir Traffic Police have challaned 1178 vehicles from March 8 to 14.
Out of 1178, 552 offenders were booked for over-speeding, dangerous driving and 373 for not half painting the headlights of their vehicles.
During the period, Rs.
2.45 lakh were realized as fine from the offenders on the spot.
Special drive launched for the purpose will continue.
Free medical camp organized at Gagribal KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Mar 15 : A free medical camp was organized by 65 BN CRPF for needy local people of Dalgate, Gagribal and Razgariteng at Gagribal Srinagar today under civic Action Programme.

Several prominent citizens also attended the function.
The Services of CRPF and civil doctors including specialists in Gynecology, ENT and Orthopedics were made available in the camp in which a large number of patients including women and children were treated and free consultation and medicines were also provided to the needy patients.
On the occasion, Commandant, 65 BN CRPF Sham Chand said that more such medical camps would be organized by 56 BN CRPF in various places of Rainawari and Khanyar areas of Srinagar city from March 16 to 21, 2004.
He said free study material would also be distributed to students of Gousia School, Srinagar.
