KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 4: Belying the tall claims of security forces of de-mining the entire border belt of Jammu, a farmer today found a landmine in his fields in Sai Khurd area in RS Pura sub-sector.
Reports said that the landmine was first noticed by Bhola Raj a local farmer in his field while working, who later brought it to the notice of the troops of 5th battalion of BSF.
Troops of 5th battalion of BSF defused the same at a deserted place averting any loss to human life.
Though, the security forces have been claiming that entire border belt of Jammu has been de-mined yet many mines remain undetected as heavy rains had washed them away from their original positions.
