Lost child still unclaimed by parents after Haj

CAIRO, Feb 16 (DPA) A total of 132 children were 'lost' during the Haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia in mid-January, but only one has not been reunited with his parents, the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper reported today.

The Saudi-owned newspaper said parents of 128 children came to the centre for missing children Mecca to collect their offspring after the Haj season.

Employees brought a 12-year-old African girl to her parents in Mecca, a 14-year-old Afghan girl to her family in Al-Taef city, Saudi Arabia, and a 4-year-old girl from Mali to her father in Mena.

A Nigerian boy is the only one to remain unclaimed and is staying at a children's charity in Mecca.
