KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Feb 18: Abdul Majid Khan, President All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation has flayed the state government for converting services of all the employees appointed on adhoc basis since 1989 into contractual appointments and subsequently dispensing with the services of thousands of adhoc employees after December 2004.
As per a press release, Khan in a meeting said that these employees are rendering useful services for the last one and a half decade and most of them have become overaged now as such they will not be able to secure government service elsewhere.
The experience they have gained so far can be more useful instead of new recruits, he added.
He said that the government has reportedly regularised the services of over one thousand adhoc appointees engaged by the Finance Department and more over those who were in service on adhoc basis upto December 1988 were regularised vide government order No.
1220-GAD of 1989 dated September 11, 1989 and on the same anology and adhoc appointees in service at present should be regularised.
