MUMBAI, June 17 (UNI) President of Madgascar Marc Ravalomanama will visit India shortly, Consul General C H Kapadia has said.
Participating in a function to mark the Madgascar's National Day here last night, Kapadia said that the President was keen on visting India.
Maldives Consul General Asif Nathani will visit India soon to hold discussions with the External Affairs Minister to finalise the details of the visit.
He said though Madgascar's National Day is observed on June 26, they were celebrating it earlier as that day was a Sunday.
A meeting of diplomatic missions based in Mumbai was also held yesterday.
