KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Feb 16: Police today had to lathicharge a mob at Kupwara which had gone berserk against the killing of a woman allegedly due to the negligence of the doctors.
According to reports a woman identified as Hafiza a resident of Mir Mohalla Kupwara delivered a baby at Sub District Hospital Kupwara, but due to the excessive bleeding the patient was shifted to Srinagar.
Before reaching Srinagar the patient breathed her last at Pattan which infuriated the people who took to the streets and demanded action against the doctors posted at the time of the delivery of the patient.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara Abdul Majid Khanday has assured that the matter will be looked into and action would be taken against the erring officials.
