KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 4: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad has greeted the people of the state, particularly the Sikh brethren, on the occasion of Gurpurab.
In a message of felicitation, the Chief Minister said the teachings of holy saints serve as beacon light for the present times when the entire mankind is craving for human values.
Stressing on the need for religious amity, Mufti Sayeed said the Gurus and Saints have always taught a piety, honesty, brotherhood and communal harmony and the best way of paying tributes to these saints would be to adopt the path of righteousness and communal harmony.
Member Parliament and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti has also greeted people on Gurpurab.
She hoped the day would usher in bring with it an era of peace and development in the state.
