LAHORE, Jan 24 (Agencies): Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf may be the architect of the country's path towards being a modern Islamic state, but he is not seen as a father figure by other leaders in Pakistan.
"We have never called him our daddy," the Daily Times quoted Information Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani as saying in reply to an opposition query as to why was Musharraf was solely running the country and asking people to vote for the Pakistan Muslim League.
In an appearance on Geo Television, Durrani said that the opposition had no business to question Musharraf's right to be re-elected, as even some opposition senators had been elected to assemblies for nine years consecutively.
