KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU,, Sep 6: -Motor Bike Expedition sponsored by the Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI) flagged off from Delhi, after covering many towns in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Laddakh including Khardungla Pass, Kashmir Valley, was accorded rousing reception by the on their arrival here today.
About 107 Bikers including two Women besides Technocrats, Doctors and Photographers of the 17 day Motor Bike expedition team passed through the main bazaar of the Udhampur town before reaching Jammu.
At Jammu, a cultutal cum dinner night was organised for the Bikers at Youth Hostel Nagrota, which was attended by Minister for Youth Services and Sports RS Chib, Director Youth Services and Sports GM Dar and Deputy director Youth Services & Sports Madan Lal and others Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the efforts of Youth Hostel Association of India and the courage and spirit of expedition team members hailing from different parts of the country, who braving all odds like rough weather, arduous hilly terrain of Ladakh, conducted the expedition successfully with a message to the countrymen to face difficult situations with boldness collectively.
