PATIALA, Feb 17(UNI) Ace batsman-turned-commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu today said he would be making his political debut by joining the BJP at New Delhi today.
Before leaving for New Delhi, Sidhu said he would disclose the reason of his taking a plunge into the public life and joining the saffron party only after his formal induction.
Sidhu, who is manager, public relations, in the State Bank of Patiala, cancelled his engagement for the day at Jind in Haryana, where he was scheduled to address a customers' meet.
His father Bhagwan Singh Sidhu was Punjab's advocate-general during the Congress government of the late Darbara Singh.
