KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Sep 16: For smooth conduct of Navratras and Dussehra festival, District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Dr.
Bhandari today convened a high level officers meeting to discuss the arrangements for the forthcoming festivals.
SSP Security, SP Traffic, senior officers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Health, JMC and representatives of various religious societies were also present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held to ensure all the necessary arrangements for the celebration of Navratras and Dussehra festivals with traditional gaiety and fervor.
The DC asked the Jammu Municipal to ensure cleanliness in and around all the temples and also at the Dussehra ground which included Parade Ground, Gandhi Nagar, Janipur and Bahu Fort.
He asked the concerned authorities to make all necessary arrangements of drinking water in temples and also at Dussehra grounds.
He asked the PDD authorities to ensure un-interrupted power supply during the auspicious days.
The DC also asked the Health authorities to arrange health centre with ambulance at Dussehra grounds.
He asked the SSP Traffic to ensure traffic arrangements on the same pattern of last year for the benefit of the people.
He asked the Fire and Emergency Services department to keep the fire tender at vulnerable places to face any eventuality.
Reviewing the security arrangements, the DC asked the authorities to make adequate security arrangements on both the occasions.
