3 idols installed at Raghunath temple KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Feb 11: Amidst chanting of Sanskrit Sholokas and blowing of Conches, senior Congress leader and Chairman-Trustee Karan Singh today installed new idols of Hanumanji, Maharishi Valmakiji and Tulsidasj in the inner courtyard of the famous Sri Raghunath temple in Jammu.
It will be recalled that the old idols had been damaged when the terrorists attacked the temple on November 24, 2002.
The new statues were specially ordered by Dr.
Singh from the finest marble workshop in Jaipur, and their cost has been met entirely by the trust.
A large number of devotees from the city and outside gathered at the temple on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr.
Karan Singh said lord Rama was to follow the noble ideals which he reflected in his life and which have earned him the title of 'the ideal man'.
Singh was accompanied by his wife Yasho Rajya Lakshmi and son M.K Ajatshatru Singh who is also a trustee of Dharmarth trust.
Thakur Divakar Singh and members of the trust council including Prof.
Hari Om, Ram Das Dogra and G.L Bhagat were also present on this occasion.
The meeting was also addressed by Mangat Ram Sharma, deputy chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, who congratulated Dr.
Singh for getting these statues installed.

Shawl, Director International Cardiology, Washington, Adventist Hospital Takoma Park, Maryland USA on Tuesday in the auditorium of Government Medical College Jammu.
Lal Singh minister for health and medical education presided over the function and appreciated the achievements made by Dr.
H.L Goswamy, principal and Dean government medical college and Dr.
Vijay Gupta, Head of Department, Medicine received the chief guest.
All the heads of departments of health and medical education, faculty members, specialists from health department, medical superintendents and PG students were also present.
