SOCIAL EVIL ENCROACHES SAINT'S VALLEY (PIR VAIR) By Suhail Chhientsaz It is a well-known fact that society goes on changing with all its enclosures viz history, culture, custom, tradition, norms, folkways, mores, values and etc.
These changes are beneficial for one process and simultaneously could be grievous for another process and its net comparison is always getting into consideration.
But when we will speak about religious change, its negativity cannot be compromised because of its felonish and hazardous character.
Sometimes these changes abolish the past fact to that extent, it becomes very hard to belief for future generations about its real historical perspective, like today our present genera hardly believes about "Nallah-Maar" (Which was earlier an essential water channel in Kashmir Valley, but today a complete macadamized road carrying huge colonies.) Analogous to it could be in next decades, our future generation would get confused with the historical phrase of our valley 'PIR VAIR' (Saint's Valley), even if there would be a huge geographical help available in support of this phrase i.e.
establishment of shrines almost after every half kilometer in the valley, and this would be a histro-geographical war/clash.
Geography would not convince the history.
Because the changes, which is going on in our society are simultaneously turning into a big social evils.
If we will postmortem these social evils, their root will surface up as extravagancies of marriage, which is imparting multiple effects in our society and can be elucidated as under:- Pre-effect of extravagant marriages: - The extravagazies in our society has grown to the extent, which have engulfed our whole social institution like a cancer in the veins.
It has been observed that every section of society from a small standard labour to a high profile businessman inclusive of government employees are participants of this dirty race competition of extravagancies, which in turn irrigates the root of enormous social evils.
Every body is involved in earning a titanic wealth since long just to lose it in two or three days, merely to make an example of extravagancy.
In these years of dirty earnings, they did not leave any opportunity to change their nomenclature from humans to callous.
Everyone is playing vital role.
As society constitutes from a basic unit viz family.
Let us, start from a head of family, where mother takes lead, which pressures her husband to earn more than the available means to crack the nut of extravagancy, and her husband crosses all the limits.
If he is an employee, he gets involved in corruption, which results into bribery or dacoity; if he is a businessman, he starts fraud, adulteration, inflation, mis-measurement etc; while as other sections of society commits robbery, hire-killings, murder and else.
As a result of this dirty run for evil earning, it delayed their children's biological need more than the due and consequently they become victims of stress or depression and in order to get relieve from their depression they gets involved in various evils viz drug-addiction, alcoholism, kidnapping, rapes, sex-rackets, eve-teasing, pre-marital affairs, illegal- marriages, abortions, suicides, Aids, and etc.
subsequently, which effects their physiology like impotency, inconceivability etc; their psychology like nervous breakdown, delirium, psychosis etc , their sociology like stigmatization and to more extent their Biology i.e.
And all these phsio-psyco-socio & bio problems roots from extravaganzous marriages.
Post-effect of extravagant marriages:- As this extravagancy is certainly distant from God's blessings, it imparts extreme unhappiness on post marriage life, which results into many socio-family disturbances like over-debts, disobedient children, divorces, family breakdown, unsatisfied life, and else.
Geo-Economical effect of extravagancies: - Besides pre & post effect of this extravaganzous marriage, it fallout huge geographical effect on society, which shaken our planet and crushed thousands of lives and billions of assets, which is due to scarcity of giving Alms to poor, just to earn more for extravagancies, and the theory "rich becomes more rich & poor becomes more poor" comes into existence, which created huge economical imbalance in the society, poverty level crossed the normal limit, financial crunch got surfaced up.
As all this is going on against Islamic Jurisprudence, which deserves the punishment from Almighty Allah (SWT) like Dec-26 Tsunami, Oct-8 Earthquake and Present climatic shift (decline in rainfall & snow rate).
It was all infuriated, and confused me to find the remedy to overcome this root social evil (extravaganzas marriages), but thank to Almighty Allah (SWT), I got a sudden view on "Humsafar Marriage Counseling Cell- (HMCC)" , which is really a revolutionary defense against this social evil, whose slogan is [simple marriage glorious one--extravaganzas marriage evil some] and whose mission is to restore the valley back from these social problems and to save its name as PIR VAIR.
When I approached their office, I got much impresses by their excellent, praiseworthy and volunteer job.
They wish to uproot the parent social evil i.e.
extravaganzous marriage, which results into many evil off shoots, as already stated in fore going paras.
The HMCC is desirous of following aims: - 1.
To motivate or aware the people about the benefits of simple and inexpensive marriage or Nikah.
To aware the people about the demerits of late marriage.
To wash the peoples thought from unsocial/uncivil to social /civic 4.
To train the personalities viz Imams, locality heads, teachers etc for fight against social evils.
To provide the perfect Match under the perspective of Islam.
To provide the pre-marriage knowledge regarding post-marriage life, so that people will enjoy happy and prosperous life.
To organize special lectures against growing social problems from Reynold Social Scholars of international Repute.
To provide the support to those persons, who are willing to remove social problems from their society.
To provide counseling against big social evil, i.e.
Dowry, which is the cause of inhumane/ illegal consequences like Homicides, Home tortures and murder etc.
To arrange financial assistance for those, who are not financially able to perform compulsories of this simple marriage e.g.
Orphans, widows, poor etc.
To provide counseling for future generation against growing social evils.
To appreciate everyone, who are in field against growing social evils, by any possible means, in any part of soil either individual or in group.
Let's join the journey of Humsafar!
