AGARTALA, Nov 30 (UNI): Tribal guerillas shot dead two people, including a woman, and kidnapped three school students in separate incidents in Tripura last night.
Police said National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), guerillas raided some houses at Chancup in Dhalai district and gunned down a house wife on the spot.
The rebels also abducted the victims two sons at gun point.
In another incident, the militants shot dead a tribal villager at Killa in South Tripura while the ultras kidnapped another student from Champaknagar in West Tripura.
Security forces had launched a combing operation to nab the militants and rescue the boys.
