KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 4: The patrolling has been increased in Mendhar sector of Poonch district this after noon after an infiltration bid foiled in Sunai Gali.
Reports said that security forces foiled an infiltration bid this after noon and intensified patrolling in the areas.
Sources said that some armed ultras crossed over to this side of LoC this afternoon.
Security forces challenged the ultras and in response ultras retaliated and managed to flee back to PoK.
However a brief encounter took place but no loss of life was reported from either side.
BSF constable injured in blast KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jan 1: A Border Security Force (BSF) constable today lost one of his right hand finger in a blast while exercising at Kaleeth firing range in Akhnoor.
The blast occurred when the barrel of his service rifle exploded in mysterious circumstances while exercising, sources said.
Reports said that he was exercising at Kaleeth when he received injury in his right hand due to which one of his right hand finger was blown off.
The constable has been identified as Bhadur Singh son of Sukhdev Ram of 69 BSF Akhnoor.
His belt number has been ascertained as 95005770.
