Waheed ur Rehman Parra, Peoples’ Democratic Party candidate for Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency feels that the people of Kashmir are suppressed and are living under fear and apprehensions. This happened after the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. This parliamentary election is more about the rights of the people of J&K. This election is also about the restoration of J&K’s special status and against the extension of laws to J&K, which could be done only by elected representatives.
