KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Feb 17: Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Realistic Front Hilal Ahmad War was today apprehended at Baramulla while proceeding towards Uri as a part of the token journey launched by his party here today.
The token journey which started from the Srinagar and was supposed to end at Muzaffarbad was stopped at Baramulla.
The participants of the journey were not allowed to proceed further.
The journey started from the hotel Welcome at Dalgate on the world famous Boulevard road and was scheduled to cross over to Muzaffarabad, but were stopped at Baramulla some 55 kilometres from Srinagar.
Before the start of journey, the chairman of JKRF addressed a press conference where he presented a three point formula for the peaceful and equitable solution of the Kashmir issue.
The three point formula has been dubbed as Hilal Formula.
The first point of the formula deals with the softening of the Line of Control (LoC) which will facilitate the interaction between the people situated on both sides of the border.
It also calls for the exchange of views with the people of the state who have been living in India, Pakistan and abroad so that their views can be taken into proper consideration before reaching to any conclusion regarding the Kashmir problem.
The second point of the formula pertains to the free trade between the people living in the both parts of Kashmir.
The third point calls for convening a convention of people of the state after a period of five years from traffic and trade so that they could put across the suggestions regarding the solution to the Kashmir problem.
