RAJAHMUNDRY, Jun 20 (UNI) The BJP Andhra Pradesh unit General Secretary K Laxman described as politically motivated the Congress government's decision to provide reservation to Muslim minorities.
Speaking at a meeting here last night, organised by the Forum for fighting for BC rights (Rajahmundry urban wing), Laxman alleged that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was working against the interest of the BCs by creating reservation for Musli.
He said out of the 92 BC communities, 83 communities had not entered the Legislative assembly.
Urging the government to withdraw the reservation for Musli immediately he said if injustice was done the BCs would show their might in the coming local body elections.
However, the BJP was not against Musli, he added.
State BJP Vice-President Somu Veeraraju, District BJP President Kantipudi Sarvarayudu also participated in the meeting.
