KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Mar 2: Out of the revised budget allocation of Rs 69 crores for Kargil district during the current year, Rs 46 crores was expended till January end, informed the Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalaie at a review meeting of the Council today.
As per release, the CEC stressed for completion of outgoing developmental schemes in the stipulated time so that the benefit might trickle down to the masses in time.
The CEC said, "The education sector would be given top priority to improve the education standard and to inculcate qualitative education." As per details divulged at the meeting, Rs 8.59 crore was spend in roads and building sector against the stipulated Rs 12.26 crore.
Rs 1.86 crore was expended in Public Health Engineering, Rs 2.35 crore in irrigation while Rs 4.10 crore was spent under the SGRY scheme, which includes the price of 32, 878 tonnes of foodgrains and 660 rural works completed.
